Amitai Abramovitch Ph.D.

Dr. Abramovitch is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology at Texas State University, and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist. He received his MA degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Academic College of Tel-Aviv and obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology (Neuropsychology) from Tel-Aviv University. He received extensive training at the National Institute for the Brain Injured in Israel and the Department of Psychiatry at Sheba Medical Center (where he co-founded the Adult ADHD Clinic: Focus). He has wide-ranging clinical experience including individual and couple psychotherapy, parent training, and clinical and neuropsychological assessments in multiple populations, both from his work in national centers and hospitals and from his work in his private practice. Prior to joining Texas State University, Dr. Abramovitch was a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry’s OCD & Related Disorders Program at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Abramovitch has extensive experience mentoring and teaching students, including at Harvard University and Harvard Extension School. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, and currently serves as a member of the Editorial Boards of Psychiatry Research and Journal of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders, and as an Associate Editor in Frontiers in Psychiatry and The Bulletin of the Menninger Clinic. His Interests outside psychology include soft martial arts (Iaido and Aikido), motorcycles, drumming, cooking, table-tennis, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Kennedy Anderson

Kennedy Anderson is a second-year student in the Master of Arts in Psychological Research program at Texas State University. Kennedy's interests are in neuropsychological assessment, brain injury and neurodegenerative disease. Her secondary interests are in assessment validity, sport concussions, and Return-to-Play protocol. In her free time, Kennedy enjoys baking, hiking, and spending time with her husband and rescue dog, Wallowa.

Anthony Robinson, MA

Anthony Robinson is a first-year clinical psychology graduate student at Louisiana State University. Anthony received his Master of Arts in Psychological Research from Texas State University in May 2019. His current research focuses on the neuropsychology of perfectionism. His secondary interests include the development and validation of self-report psychological measures and cognitive tasks.

Matthew Buckley

Matthew Buckley is a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Biology. Currently Matthew works with children at a behavioral and mental health residential facility. His research interests involve child and adolescent disorders and how they relate to learning and ways to improve these individual’s ability to process and retain information. He is planning on pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a focus on pediatrics. In his free time he enjoys watching sports, spending time with his dogs, and hiking.

Yoshua Morin

Yoshua Morin is a graduate student at Texas State University where he is conducting psychological research. He received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Forensic Psychology from Texas State University. His research interests include exploring neuropsychological functions in order to understand and detect individual brain differences—specifically in aggression, impulsivity, and deviant behaviors. His current research will aim to understand the relationship between frontal cortical regions and appetitive vs. withdraw approaches in relation to aggression. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. after the completion of his masters.

Akuekegbe Uwadiale

Akuekegbe Uwadiale is a first-year student in the Master of Arts in Psychological Research Program. Her research interests include investigating the role of stress in the pathogenesis and maintenance of OCD, as well as the pathophysiology of Trichotillomania and its overlap with OCD. She plans to pursue her MD/PhD after completion of the program. During her free time, Akuekegbe enjoys working out, hot yoga, painting, and attempting new bread recipes.

Tanya Herrera

Tanya Herrera is a first-year graduate student in the Master of Arts Psychological Research program at the Texas State University. Tanya’s research interests include the neuropsychological functions in mood disorders and the linkages between neuroscience and psychopathology relating to those disorders. In her free time, Tanya enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking and spending time with her family dog.
